2024 Honoring the Sacrifice Charity Disc Golf Event Orbited by Gravity Disc Golf

In 2023 we raised $7,200 for the Honoring the Sacrifice Foundation and in 2024 we hope to exceed that amount for a very righteous cause! Registration costs: Pros - $75 and AMs - $50 Note: You must be a current PDGA member to participate in this event This will be a 1-day tournament and we will play 2 rounds. The 4 courses that will be used will be Jack Mattox Adventure Course (Ringgold, GA), The Pasture (Tunnel Hill, GA) and Westside (Rocky Face, GA) and Camp Jordan (East Ridge, TN) The player field and courses will be divided into 4 Pools: A Pool (Capped at 72): MPO, MP40, MA1 B Pool (Capped at 72): FPO, MA2, MA40, MA50 C Pool (Capped at 44): FA1, MA3 D Pool (Capped at 44): FA2, FA3, MA4, MA60, MA70, MJ18 A & B Pools will play the Pasture and Westside C & D Pools will play the Jack Mattox Adventure Course layout and Camp Jordan Pool Caps will not change. Division player caps can cross-level based on player participation WE WILL PLAY RAIN or SHINE! The last 3 years we have had perfect weather and we hope and pray for the same in 2024! Rules: This is a PDGA sanctioned tournament and the official rules of disc golf will govern play. All players on each card must keep score. A paper score card will be available if needed. ACE Pot: $5 + $100 Extra Added (If no one hits the Ace Pot, those funds will be donated to the charity) CTPs: $5 (Minimum of 1 CTP per division that has 2 or more players) Raffle: There will be a raffle on video for all players! You get a ticket just by registering and can purchase more to support the cause! All proceeds go to the Honoring the Sacrifice charity. We will have Baskets, Bags, Discs, a Car Detail, Mystery packs and more to give away! Hole sponsorships (3 Tiers): You can see pictures of each banner or placard in 'pictures', select 'more' on top of this event page. 100% of the hole sponsorship donation goes to the HTS foundation! I personally pay for the printing of the banners and placards. Business Banner (2' x 8' vinyl banner) with your name and logo, prominently displayed by a tee box and recognition on the tournament T-shirt: Cost: $350 Smaller business or club placard on a wire stand (18" x 24") with your name and logo which will be prominently displayed by a tee box and recognition on the tournament t-shirt. Cost: $75 Individual placard: If you, your family or business would like to honor a Veteran, I have created an attractive 8-1/2" x 11" Veteran template (see pictures) which will be customized and laminated for your Veteran and will be prominently displayed at Jack Mattox or The Pasture (where your pool plays). Please provide the veteran's first name, last name, rank and military branch and a message and we will print those up. Cost: $20 Day of tournament schedule: All registrations are from 07:30-08:30 (at the course where you will start), player meeting 08:30-08:45, shotgun start, all courses at 09:05. Per PDGA rules, you must be at your tee pad 5 minutes prior to start of round, if you are late, you will incur a 1 penalty stroke. A & B Pool - Round 1 starts at Westside (Oranges) and Round 2 at The Pasture (Main) C Pool - Round 1 starts at Camp Jordan (Main - Am Par) and Round 2 at Jack Mattox (Adventure) D Pool - Round 1 starts at Jack Mattox (Adventure) and Round 2 at Camp Jordan (Shorts) Round 2 will begin approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes after last card scores are received. Daylight in November is limited, so pace-of-play is important and time between rounds may be adjusted to just one hour. Payouts: Pro: Pro payout will be by PayPal Am: Am payout will be merchandise vouchers that can be redeemed, on-site, with our 2 authorized vendors: Shoptom and Gravity Disc Golf AM merch payout vouchers will be awarded at: The Pasture for A & B Pools and Jack Mattox for C & D Pools. Remember, you have 2 authorized vendors on-site that will redeem your vouchers for merchandise. Trophies will be awarded to all divisions that have at least 2 players. - Any division with just 2 players will receive a first place trophy only - Any division with just 3 players will receive a first and second place trophy - Any division with 4 or more players will receive a first, second and third place trophy Trophies and Ace pot vouchers will be awarded at The Pasture.
