3rd Annual Legends at the Lake

This is a truly unique event on a one of a kind course! Come compete and make memories at one of the finest disc golf courses around, Cougar Lake! This is a 2 Round PDGA sanctioned B/C Tier disc golf tournament played over 2 days. All players will get tee times for both competition rounds. There will be field events, night golf rounds, camping, and fun for all! B/C Tier This event event will be a PDGA sanctioned B-Tier for Pro divisions and C-Tier for Amateur Divisions. The reason for this is the short tee layout currently has natural teeing areas. Most amateur divisions will play at least one round from the short tees. For this we do not feel the course meets the standards for a B-Tier. Our hope is for this to change at the 4th Annual! Otherwise amateur players can expect a B-Tier experience from our staff and this event! Players packs and am payouts will offer B-Tier value. Camping For the first time in a long time Cougar Lake will be open for primitive, overnight camping prior to and during Legends at the Lake. Campers may stay for up to 3 nights beginning Thursday, September 26th. Campsites will be limited in availability and capacity. No RV's or campers over 20' will be permitted at this time. At this time we do not know how much room for camping we will have. Camp sites will be offered on a first come first serve basis and can be reserved with event registration. Campsites will cost $15 per night to reserve. Our event staff will arrive at the course on September 19th. We will have more information regarding campsite availability at that time. Player Pack Custom Event Dri-Fit Shirt Custom Event Towel featuring a course map of Cougar Lake Stickers, Mini, Snacks, Liquid IV Hydration Pack This event will not include a custom stamped event disc. We are trying something different in offering players other items and keeping event entry low. Feedback is encouraged. Entry Fee Breakdown Pro - $80 Entry $62 - Payout $10 - Green Fees $8 - Event Fees Am Payout Divisions - $68 Entry $30 - Player Pack - Valued at $50 $20 - Payout $10 - Green Fees $8 - Event Fees Trophy Only Divisions - $48 Entry (MA3, FA3, MA4, FA4, and Juniors) $30 to Player Pack $10 - Green Fees $8 - Event Fees Event Fees include PDGA fees, Course Supplies, Water, Trophies, TD Fees, Etc Tee Times This is a 2 round, tee time event. Players will be assigned a tee time each day of competition. Tee times can be found at pdga.com/tour/event/77413. Players are required to be at tournament central 10 minutes before their tee time for the group player meeting. Failure to do so can result in disqualification. Pools & Course Layouts Cougar Lake is a true championship level course. An even par round from the long tees rates around 1000! It is a true pleasure to play and we can't wait to have you out. Last year we installed a short tee layout with all of the variety of Cougar Lake! These short tees are an excellent challenge for most am players with an even par round rating near 900. We are once again excited to bring competition to the short tees for this event. As mentioned above, the short tee layout currently features natural teepads. We have 2 new holes and have done a lot of work at the course since the original filming) A Pool - MPO, MP40, MP50, MA1 - Both Rounds Long Tees B Pool - FPO, MA40, MA2 - 1st Round Shorts, 2nd Round Longs C Pool - MA50, MA60, MA3, MA4, All Am Women - Both Round Shorts Practice Rounds The course will be open for practice and public play during the week prior to the event starting September 23rd. Night Golf We will set up a 9 hole night golf loop for a fun evening of Glow Golf on Saturday night! All are invited and it is totally free to play! All baskets will be lit and fully stocked pro shop will be on hand for your night golf needs! Raffle We have a HUGE raffle organized for this weekend! You do not have to play in the event to purchase raffle tickets. Drawings will be done during the 2nd round Saturday. You do not have to be present to win. Check out the list of prizes below (Coming Soon) and check out the pictures section for a peak at what we are giving away! All raffle sales will help offset the costs of running the event. This is in large part why we are able to add cash for our pro players. Thank you for your support! Awards and Payouts There will be a minimum of $750 added to the pro purse for this event. As we generate more sponsors we will add more to both pro and amateur payouts. Thank you to our sponsors for making this possible! Payout will be awarded to the top 45% of each division using the PDGA payout scale. Pro divisions will be paid digitally after the event. Amateur players will win a merchandise credit to The on-site Disc Golf Dojo proshop. There will be no payout for MA3, FA3, MA4, FA4, or Junior Divisions. The winner of those divisions will be awarded a trophy if there are 3 or more competitors. Payout will be available and published to Disc Golf Scene once all players have completed their rounds. Payout can be redeemed the day of the event or at any future Disc Golf Dojo event. Follow us on Disc Golf Scene and get notified where we are each weekend. Am payout will expire 2 years after it is awarded. Credit awarded at this event is valid through September 28th, 2026.
