Here is the link to your official Players Meeting Document: https://drive.google.com/file/d/194_7IFeFwvIxi5OzeHFkKhjGoZtIg1EH/view?usp=sharing Be sure to download it to your phone. we’ll also get this emailed to all the registered players tonight. Sorry, it is long! But please read through it; lots of important information. And a Waterloo tradition is that if you come ask staff a question that is already answered in this document, it will cost you a dollar (that goes to the fundraising). So if you ask: what course do I play next round, that will be a dollar :) This isn’t meant to keep you from asking questions, just ones where we’ve already given you the info. Need to know something we haven’t addressed? Please, ask away! Thanks, and see you soon at Waterlooooooooooo ------------------------------------------------------- FRIDAY DOUBLES AT WATERLOO you can download the full info here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1z21urw6UqR2kBWn1ps0b6qSqlm_KaBMN/view?usp=sharing It has also been pasted into a comment in the Comments page of this site. --------------------------------------------------------- It is Waterloooooooo so we'll have ALL our merchandise and other stuff out there at Hancock. If you are on this list Waterloo DGC still owes you something like cash or merchandise payout, a raffle prize, player pack, trophy, etc. Just click this link to see if we owe you, everyone is listed alphabetically by last name so it’s easy to scan to see if you are on there. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1BS08NKdxMmZ1Ru6UmVtoqRp268cJxmWb/view?usp=sharing For merchandise payout, it is “pick-your-own”. Come 'n Get It! ---------------------------------------------------------- WAITLIST INFO - The tournament is Full. -We have divided the divisions into 2 pools, each one holding 90 players max: Pool A and Pool B. See below for the divisions. -The Waitlist is "by Pool" and will all be done here on Disc Golf Scene. -It is FREE to get on the Waitlist. You can register for the Waitlist in both pools IF YOU ARE ELIGIBLE for divisions in both (and are willing to play either division). For example... MA1 and MA2 are in different pools so IF your rating makes you eligible to play in either division and IF you are willing to play either one, you can get on the Waitlist in each pool: once in MA1 and once in MA2. -The system will not let you choose the ace pot, ring-of-fire, or mcc-note challenge options when you get on the Waitlist, but you can add that stuff in later if you do end up clearing the Waitlist and getting into the tournament. Here are the Pool divisions: POOL A: All Mixed Pro Divisions: MPO, MP40 - MP70 All Women’s Divisions: FPO, FP40 - FP70, FA1, FA40 - FA70, FA2, FA3 Mixed Amateur 1 and 40+: MA1 & MA40 POOL B Mixed Amateur 50+, 60+, 70+: MA50, MA60, MA70 Mixed Amateur 2 and 3: MA2 & MA3 ---------------------------------- You CAN STILL opt in to the Father Dave McC-Note Challenge. It no longer has the benefit of saving your spot, but you will be helping out the charity plus you’ll get a cool McC-Note goodie in your player’s pack. Every year a number of people do this, you can be one of them this year. To be a Father Dave McC-Note Challenger, there is an option to select after the sponsorship questions. Choose the option that corresponds to your division and it will bring your entry fee up to $125. If you don’t want to do it, just skip it or select the “No Thanks” choice. If you choose to be a Father Dave McC-Note Challenger, then DON’T select the Ace Pot optional $5 or the Ring-of-Fire option $2 – those two optional fees are INCLUDED in your McC-Note amount. Also, If you choose to be a Father Dave McC-Note Challenger AND you are not active with the PDGA, the system will automatically charge you the $10 non-active pdga fee (sorry, but there is no way to turn this off), but don’t worry… we will refund you that $10 through DG Scene within a week or so, or we can refund you in cash when you check in at the tournament. ----------------------------- SPONSORSHIP NEEDED This tournament will again benefit the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Texas (RMH); last year’s donation to RMH was $10,500, and the tournament’s grand total over the years is now $188,643. Please consider the following support levels to help us raise more this year than last: A. For a sponsorship of $400 (cash) or $600 (merchandise), or more: your logo or name on the back of the official tournament shirt and on a tee-box sign, on each course. Plus, you may display one of your banners at tournament headquarters. Your logo/name also will receive some online shout-outs and be added to the Sponsor List that will be displayed at the course and posted online. B. For $150 - $299 (cash or merchandise): your logo/name on a tee-box sign (on one course), you may display one of your banners at tournament headquarters, and inclusion on the Sponsor List to be displayed at the course and posted online. C. For up to $149 (cash or merchandise): your name on the Sponsor List to be displayed at the course and posted online. Sponsorship can be in the form of cash, merchandise, or a combination of the two. Please mail all sponsorship to Waterloo Disc Golf Club, PO Box 33531 Austin, TX, 78764 (checks payable to Waterloo DGC). If you wish, you may make your check payable directly to Ronald McDonald House CCTX to get the tax benefits of a charitable donation. For more information please contact Gordon Kelley at [email redacted] or [email redacted], or call the Waterloo Club cell phone 512-994-9508. You can also download the Sponsorship Form here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ieZp0sD8NGQylFZHPFyjc1SWEzGiFJsl/view?usp=sharing Thank you for your support! ----------------------------------- We are back at the Hancock Golf Course this year! Singles: Sat & Sun, Oct 19-20 Doubles: Friday Oct 18 Singles is 3 rounds: 2 on Saturday & 1 on Sunday; all are shotgun starts. Last year's event raised $10,500 for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Texas (RMH), bringing our grand total donation to RMH to more than $188,000! 47th Waterloo is a HOTT Points event! REGISTRATION for Singles Will be online through Disc Golf Scene. ---------------------------- Out of every entry comes the following $40 of expenses: $28 Greens Fee $10 Donation to the Fundraising $2 PDGA Fee ---------------------------- FATHER DAVE McC-NOTE CHALLENGE For those not familiar with the Father Dave McC-Note Challenge, the way it works is this: once you have paid the $125, your spot in the tournament is guaranteed. When fees for the different divisions are set, we will deduct from your $125: - your entry fee - ace pot fee - ring-of-fire fee (series of putting games) - non-active pdga fee (if applicable) All the money left goes directly to the charity. This adds a few thousand dollars each year to the fundraising for the charity. The charity is the same as it has been since 1998: Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Texas. To clarify something that has come up occasionally: this money saves “your” spot, not “a” spot. Once the tournament fills up and there is a waitlist, if you have to cancel you can’t just give your spot to someone else. As with any cancellation, the spot goes to the next person on the waitlist. And if you do have to cancel, the cancellation fees tend to be higher for McC-Noters than for the players who waited until regular registration; this is especially true once we get closer to the tournament. ------------------------------- FRIDAY DOUBLES on Oct. 18th (bring-your-own-partner) more info posted closer to the event -------------------------------- SPONSORSHIP We need lots of wonderful sponsors so we so can have great player packs, CTPs, and other fun stuff, but most importantly so we can raise lots and lots of money for our charity: the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Texas. Thanks! p.s. Waterlooooooooooooooooooooooo
