A Spring Thing at Haute Goat

Queer Disc Golf and Haute Goat Present: "A Spring Thing". This is the first QDG PDGA sanctioned event AND unsanctioned charity doubles COMBO! This is a fundraising event with all profits going to support PFLAG Durham and Queer Disc Golf. The morning round will be a singles round of PDGA sanctioned C-tier competition, an early chance this season to improve your rating and play a formal tournament at Haute Goat. We have decided to use the PDGA Colour Rating system to avoid any exclusionary criteria that might come with traditional gender based categories. Gold Blue and White divisions will play the Blue Goat 24 layout. All other divisions will play the White Goat 24 layout. The afternoon round is a Best Disc Doubles event. Bring your partner and have fun competing while supporting QDG and PFLAG Durham. This is meant to be fun, we’ll have CTPS and Prizes throughout the day but most of these items are allocated to the charity doubles round in the afternoon. No doubles partner, sign up and let us know on the registration form, we can likely get you a partner. Want to play with another team, let us know that too. You can sign up for whatever you want: Only the morning round, or Only the afternoon doubles round, or Stay the whole day and play BOTH! You can also just come to watch and visit with the goats. Everyone who signs up gets a first run QDG custom stamped premium plastic disc from Innova Disc Golf as part of their player pack. Come for the morning and stay for the afternoon! PFLAG Durham will be on site providing resources, information and rumours are they might even be joining in on some of the fun! We’ll wrap up the event at the cafe, likely close to 4:30pm. Everyone is welcome to stick around the farm and cafe and enjoy the evening. The PDGA now requires tournaments to publicize 'pass through fees' at time of registration, for this event the pass through fees will be $19.21CA including HST/player. This covers your day pass for tournament level play at Haute Goat and PDGA fees. The Screaming Goat Cafe will be open for lunch or you can add a meal at time of registration. We’ll have meat or veggie options. As the afternoon round is unsanctioned you will be able to purchase beverages from the Haute Goat to enjoy, but not in the morning.
