Blueberry Brawl XIII - Supported by Innova

The Sudbury Disc Golf Club welcomes you to the 13th Edition of the Blueberry Brawl! This is a 2-Day, 4-Round, C-Tier, PDGA-sanctioned event. Blueberry Brawl XIII is also a stop on the ODSA's Ontario Tour, making it a qualifying event for the 2025 Ontario Club Championships being held in Guelph this year. EARLY REGISTRATION NOTES - The Jan. 30th and Feb. 1st early registration windows will be open for 48 hours each, leaving a one-hour window for the TD to get ready for the next tier, hence the 6:00 pm, 7:00 pm, & 8:00 pm registration times. - The PDGA allows for early registration of one third (29 players) of the 88-player field for each of the two early registration windows. - Jan. 30th - 2025 Sudbury Disc Golf Club Members. (Max 29 players) - Feb. 1st - All Female divisions offered & MA60/70. (Max 29 players total) For the past 3 years, the ODSA has successfully recognized the need to allow under-represented divisions (females) the ability to early-register. As such, this year, they're adding the 60+ divisions to that under-represented demographic. Traditionally, the Blueberry Brawl has always welcomed the Disc Golf Elders into our tournament, so we are happy to accomodate this change. In 2024, the Elders only played 3 rounds, but were surveyed about it first, as we approached the tournament date, and they unanimously agreed to 3 rounds. That survey will happen again, if the TD sees fit. Respect your elders! Lol! Full disclosure: the TD is an Elder too, so he can make all the "old" jokes he wants! :) --------------------------------------------------------- - Entry Fees (include $5 Ace Pool) - Pros: $100 - Cash Payout - Ams: $75 - Players Pack Disc and Prizes - Divisional Winners each get a homemade blueberry pie and pie lifter trophy. - Non-PDGA players incur a $15 temporary fee, applied during registration. - All Divisions require a minimum of 3 players. The TD will adjust player divisions accordingly. ---------------------------------------------------------- The City of Sudbury is the Nickel Capital of The World, but is also the Blueberry Capital of Ontario; and hosts the city's annual Blueberry Festival every July. The Blueberry Brawl is played during this time. - The Lions Club of Sudbury Disc Golf Course - Our course will challenge you (and your patience) with 22 manicured holes: technical wooded holes, great elevation changes, fast greens, water, lots of OB, and our signature Rock Island Hole: #7. Oh ya, there's another island hole too, #18! To top it off, you'll find two sets of 4' x 12' teepads (Red Shorts and White Longs) on each hole, and our baskets are Innova Discatchers. Each hole has 3 basket positions (A, B, & C), but you'll only find the toughest and longest "C" positions in play for the 'Brawl. Everyone's entry fee includes entry into the $5 Ace Pool. We'll also have a raffle, CTPs for all divisions, and Amateurs will receive a Blueberry Brawl-stamped disc. Can't wait to see y'all at the 'Brawl!
