Disc Dispatch

Chucktown/Throwdown 2025

THIS IS A SANCTIONED EVENT ! The player pack for this tournament will be a choice of disc from 6 different companies. This will be picked up at DGSC after the first two (2) rounds. 2.02 Qualifications - Require TDs to hold underserved divisions with fewer than four players Frequently, women, seniors, and juniors are not able to get four players for their division. While TDs are currently encouraged to run underserved divisions with fewer than four players, members still report that adoption of that suggestion is low. The change to Competition Manual 2.06 that changes the requirements of True Amateur events so that they no longer require trophies for Amateur divisions with a single player - as well as the two-weeks-prior cutoff for determining trophy amounts at True Amateur events - will minimize the impact on TDs. L. A Tournament Director may limit the divisions they wish to offer at their event by listing only the divisions they plan to offer on their registration form. 1. If a division is offered and at least four eligible players register for that division, that division must be held. 2. If a division is underserved as defined in 1.02.C.2.c, the division must be held if at least one player registers for the division. 3. In all other cases, it is at the Tournament Director's discretion whether to hold the division or not (see 1.03.H for refund policy in that case). On 15 March 2025 there will be a reduction in size to divisions. The foursome that you start with you will finish with (throough 18 holes). A reset will be done for the final 18 holes. A waiver was granted due to the pandemic. from Andrew "Big Dawg" Sweeton (PDGA tour Manager). A copy is available upon request. Staggered Starts or Tee Times (rounds where groups start one after another on a certain hole): The player shall start at the time announced by the Tournament Director. Players are recommended to check in with the starter ten minutes before their tee time. Players may practice until the starter indicates the two-minute warning for their group provided their practice does not distract players on the course. A throw by a player between the two-minute signal and the start of the round shall receive a warning if observed by two or more players or an official. Subsequent throws by the player during this period, if observed by two or more players or an official, shall result in one penalty throw added to the player’s score, regardless of the number of throws. It is the sole responsibility of the player to be at the course and ready to play in time for the start of their round. If a player is not present to throw when it is their turn, the scorekeeper shall allow 30 seconds. If the player has not thrown after the 30 seconds has elapsed, a score of par plus four is to be entered for that hole. This procedure continues on any subsequent holes for which a player is absent. No holes shall be replayed. If a complete round is missed, or if a player does not finish a round, the player may, at the discretion of the Tournament Director, be disqualified.
