DGVTour #1 - South Shire Shootout April 26-27,2025 Willow Park DGC Bennington,Vermont PDGA C-tier 2 Rounds of 18 holes, 1 round per day/tee times. TD: Chris Young & Will Cleland Friday: Random Draw $5 Doubles. Meet in the parking lot near hole #2 at the DGVT trailer and sign up 4-4:30. Flip for teams at 4:45pm. Tee at 5pm. Cash only. Tournament Central: Look for the DGVT trailer in the parking lot near hole #2. This is where you will check in before and after your rounds. Players Meeting: The week of the event an email will be sent out to all players. Sat Night @ Wildgrass Meadows Social: We are going to have a get together at the Eckhardt family home in North Bennington. There will be yummy light fare provided. A Top of the World CTP Comp. A 9 hole course and an Ace Comp. Come by anytime between 5pm and 8pm and join us for some fun,food and beverages. More info. will be provided in the Player email the week of the event! Awards: As divisions finish we will give out trophies to division champs once all scores in that divisions have been finalized and received. Trophies: I need to order trophies at least 3-4 weeks in advance of the event so as of April 2nd when I order trophies - only divisions of 4 or more players registered will receive a 1st place custom trophy. Pro Payouts: We will payout 40% of the Pro divisions. Payouts will be issued via Paypal within 48 hours of completion of the event. Players MUST be PDGA member to except cash. Amateur Payouts: We will payout 45% of the Amateur divisions. Payouts will be posted and a DGVT merchandise voucher will be filed in our system for those players. All amateur divisions play for merchandise credit to the DGVT Pro Shop. Credit must be redeemed by Dec. 31,2025. Pro shop will be onsite. Credit cannot be used online and we do not ship, so plan to use your credit onsite or at a 2025 DGVTour event you attend. Payouts will be posted here on the event dgscene page within 48 hours of completion of the tournament ( look in the Results section). DGVTour Acepot: $1 from each players registration goes to the acepot. If there are no aces then the acepot will roll over to DGVTour #2. All players are entered in to this. GO BIG Acepot: $5/per player optional acepot. If you put in you have a chance to win. Players will have the option to include this at registration. If no one in the GO BIG acepot gets an ace then the money will roll over to the GO BIG acepot at DGVTour #2. EDGE: $2 from each players registration goes to the Vermont EDGE Program. This program will enable DGVT to work with local schools and communities to build new courses and get discs in the hands of our youth. DGVTour fee: $4 from each players registration goes to the Tour to help us with an array of items such as Tour trophies, end of the season payouts, sanctioning fees, park fees, supplies, porta pottys and much more. PDGA Per Player Fee: The PDGA collects a fee of $2/player at all C-tiers. Playoffs: In the event of a playoff for 1st place, players will play the course in order starting at hole #1 and format is sudden death. First player to win a hole with a lower score wins the playoff. Tee Times (both days): Tee times will be posted Thursday, April 24th in the evening for Saturdays round ( pdga.com). After all players are off the course Saturday we will work as fast as we can to get tee times posted for Sundays round. Our hope is to have those posted before 8pm Saturday night. Again, visit pdga.com, go to events and find our event on the list and that is where you will find your tee time. ALL players are expected to arrive approx. 30 minutes before the posted tee time to check in and get setup with scoring. When arriving for your tee time, please go directly to the DGVT trailer( which will be setup near hole #1 in the side parking lot.) and check in. Players need to start at the listed tee time so that we do not create backups throughout the day, so PLEASE be prompt as tee times will start at exact times listed.. We will be keeping an eye on this and assisting where and if needed. If you are running late for your tee time there is nothing that we can do. Juniors: Juniors must be accompanied by an adult per PDGA guidelines: https://www.pdga.com/rules/competition-manual/113 Tee Assignments: ( Both rounds) Red Tees: MA3, MJ12, FJ12,MJ15,FA2,FA3. Blue Tees: MPO,MP40,MP50,MA1,FA1,MA40,MA50,MA60,MA2. Please note that some holes may share a tee, players need to make sure they are using the correct tee assigned to the division they are competing in ( Red and Blue share a tee on hole # 1,4,8,12,13). Hole 8 all divisions will play from the cement tee NOT from the road as we have in the past. Course Out of Bounds: Hole 1: Cement walking path ( and beyond) behind basket is OB. Hole 4: Basketball court is OB. Hole 5: Cement walking path on the right side of the fairway( and beyond) is OB. Hole 7: Mandatory tree is marked on the right. You must pass to the left of the "Mando" tree otherwise go to the Red tees with a 1 stroke penalty. Any cement just past the basket is safe. Asphalt walk (and beyond) on the right side of the fairway is O.B. Hole 8: Road on the right side of the fairway ( and beyond) is OB. The large rocks on the edge of the road are NOT OB. Out of Bounds line on the left side of the fairway and long of the basket is marked by white pin flags. Hole 10: OB runs along the right side of the fairway. Area is marked with red stakes. Hole 12: Fence past the basket is OB. Hole 14: Triple mandatory. You must pass inside the mandatory. Players can not go over the triple mandatory. If you miss the triple mandatory go to the red tees with a 1 stroke penalty. Hole 15 & 16: Casual relief from debris piles. Hole 18: Casual relief from standing water in ditch This is a public park and a shared space for all park users. ALWAYS yield to other park users, make sure the hole is clear to throw safely and talk to other park users in a friendly manner if necessary. We have reserved the disc golf course but not the entire park. PDGA Live Scoring: This is how each group will keep score. All players need to click on the link below to become familiar with PDGA Live Scoring. Download the ap " PDGA Live" on your personal device and be prepared ahead of time. https://www.pdga.com/help/tournament-management/official-hole-scoring . ALL PLAYERS MUST KEEP SCORE. We will have paper cards available but we recommend using PDGA Live scoring. Each player is responsible for submitting a scorecard or they will be penalized. If you submit your scorecard and your score is in correct you will be penalized - so make sure your score is correct. Please refer to rule 808 for the updated 2024 Scoring policy here... https://www.pdga.com/rules/official-rules-disc-golf/808 Live scoring code: dgvt1 PDGA Live Scoring is the OFFICIAL scorecard of the event and each player needs to check in after the round to make sure that all players scorecards have been received by the TD's. NO 2 METER RULE. ALL PDGA rules apply. NO Division changes after registration closes. NO refunds after registration closes. NO ALCOHOL CONSUMPTION in the Park. DGVT merchandise: If you would like to purchase something from DGVT you can do so at the event. Member discs can be picked up at the event and you can cash in your Am payout at the event. We will have your name on file if you have won any amateur payouts at a Tour event we will have that for you.
