Welcome back to the beautiful course known as Sah-hah-lee! Grit Discs is excited to be hosting the Pioneer Open for a 2nd year and this one is a big deal! As you’ve noticed, this year is an A-Tier!! We’ve always grown this event year after year and we won’t stop now. This year the event will be a 3 day event at the Sah-hah-lee Golf Course along the Clackamas River. We will be playing tee times again this year, letting over 200 players in to start their year off with one of the most prestigious A-Tier events in the northwest. The Squatch Disc Golf course will be open for practice starting Monday February 12th, paying normal greens fees and making a tee time through the pro shop. On Thursday February 15th, there will be a discounted rate for competitors only. The event hall will be home to the Grit Discs store front this year, hosting both an impressive inventory of discs and disc golf accessories but also check in and where the amateur players will grab their phenomenal players packs. Speaking of which… let’s take a look at what the amateur players will receive in their players pack: Grit Discs/Neon Black Tournament Hoodie (guaranteed size if signed up by Jan 10th) Grit Discs/Neon Black beanie $65 credit towards Grit Discs Event hall All items are subject to change The professional athletes will be playing for their portion of that $3000 added cash! Amazing competition and big names from around the northwest are sure to make it an interesting tournament! The amateur players will be playing for trophies (1st-3rd unless division has less than 10, then only 1st). This year we are also ecstatic to announce we have partnered with the Disc Golf Masters Tour to allow the Masters athletes one of their first opportunities of the season to get those points and come out to the best finale in disc golf! That will be an additional $5 box to click to gain those points during your registration. We will have a Facebook event page opened up before registration to announce any added sponsors, any added player pack items in real time, and any work parties to help with course maintenance or volunteer collaboration. That address will be added to this page before sign ups go live. Onsite again this year will be Le Torito with their mouth watering Mexican cuisine. They will be open each day for your pleasure. Trust me, you’ll want to have a breakfast burrito if you can. Sign ups will go live on December 8th and will be live to those that want first pick at the event via tee sign sponsorships. These tee signs will allow the player to use a business logo, personal picture (appropriate please), or shout out. These will be $50 + the registration fee when signing up. This event sold out the last 2 years so a tee sign might not be a bad idea to make sure you get in. Registration will go live for everyone else on December 15th at 6pm. Squatch Disc Golf is also sending 3 bags to be raffled off! 2 Link Bags and a Catrina Allen Signature Legend Bag. The tickets will be available during registration and you will get a bulk deal that way! During registration: 1 - $5 5 - $20 15 - $50 On site during the event: 1 - $5 You can also win more than 1 bag!! There is no cap on winning!! The raffle will take place while play is going on during the second round (Saturday) allowing the winner to take their new bag(s) home on Saturday. CH Sports will be on site filming this year! The final round of MPO of this years Pioneer Open will be filmed and placed on the CH Sports YouTube channel once finished! Our team is extremely excited for this addition this year as the CH Sports team is phenomenal!
