Pre-Festival Clinics (Every Thursday from May to June, 3-7 pm): Kicking off the Larger Than Life (LTL) Disc Golf Festival, join us every Thursday from May to June for free disc golf clinics. Designed for all skill levels, these interactive sessions are an excellent opportunity for newcomers to experience the joy of disc golf and for the community to foster skill development. 2. Festival Kickoff - Canada Day Extravaganza (July 1st): LTL bursts to life on Canada Day with a vibrant kickoff at Judas Creek. Embrace the festivities with the Burl Cup tournament, a fun and challenging event for all skill levels. Enjoy the natural wilderness course, live music, a beer garden, and a BBQ – a perfect fusion of sport and celebration. 3. Flex Start C-Tiers (July 2nd & 3rd): Offering a taste of tournament play, LTL introduces Flex Start C-Tiers at Mt Mac DGC and Solstice DGP on consecutive days. With flexible tee times from 2 pm to 8 pm, these events are tailored for players to "Get In, Get Out, and Get Rated!" Complimentary swag, local beverage gardens, food options, and live music enhance the experience. 4. Check-in and Skill Competition (July 4th - Shipyards Park, 11 am - 6 pm): On the eve of the main tournament, join us at Shipyards Park for check-in and a thrilling skill competition. This dynamic day sets the stage for the festival, providing opportunities for players and attendees to immerse themselves in the world of disc golf. 5. Players Dinner/Party (July 4th, 5 pm - 11 pm): Continue the celebration into the night with a Players Dinner and Party at a location to be announced. A perfect opportunity for players and attendees to connect, relax, and anticipate the excitement of the main tournament. 6. Inaugural Yukon Territorials at Mount Sima (July 5th - 7th): The pinnacle of the LTL Disc Golf Festival at Mount Sima, featuring three days of intense competition. Rounds 1 and 2 take place Friday and Saturday showcasing the skills of participants across varying layouts. On Sunday, the excitement peaks with Round 3 where only the Professional and the top 45% of Amateur players will advance, adding a thrilling competitive edge. Amidst event tents, games, live music, and more, this adjustment ensures a memorable conclusion to our vibrant festival. Aim high and be part of this unforgettable experience! 7. Awards Ceremony (July 7th, 4 pm - 6 pm): Close the festival with an Awards Ceremony on Sunday at Mount Sima, recognizing the achievements of participants. Celebrate the winners, acknowledge the spirit of competition, and bid farewell to an unforgettable week.
