May the Frolf Be With You

Welcome to the first stop of the Tricky Disc Golf Series. Nicky Z. and I have been planning this tournament series slowly but surely. Our biggest concern for these tournaments is that we wanted to have 1) a solid local tournament for all of us close to and in Boulder and 2) affordability. This first stop is called "May the Frolf Be With You" and I am sure you all can guess why. There will be more to come but this is the pilot episode and we are all going to be learning together. We are trying to get away with a minimal amount of cost for you all, and the next tournament may be a little more expensive or a little less expensive! The most important thing to remember right now is that we are trying to keep this up every month and have it be affordable and in Boulder County, or extremely close to Boulder County. There will be points in this tournament series, and the final stop will be some sort of a championship, but we will figure that out AFTER this tournament, so stay tuned. This tournament will have some modifications, but will be a pretty standard Valmont round. The mando on #4 will be played and the island will be played. There will be a small addition of some OBs to keep people safe and make it a little more challenging, but nothing wild. 2 rounds each 3 hours long, and an hour-long lunch. For the player's packs, to keep it affordable we are doing T-shirts and no discs just yet (future dates maybe?). The cost of the T-shirt is included in the entry fee and you can select your size while signing up. If your size is not there or sold out, let me or Nicky know and I should be able to get you one no problem. Pros get payout and not a shirt, but if you play MPO or FPO and you want a shirt, let me know I can get you one for $15. There's an ace pot you can buy into and we will have some fun CTP prizes that you don't need to pay for, but you do have to put it close to the pin if you want one! On the day of, show up early and ready to have a good time and be flexible with us. We will try to answer all questions ASAP. Keep an eye out for more info as the date gets closer!
