Oil Valley Open 2024

Welcome back for the Oil Valley Open 2024! We are excited to announce that this year's event will, again, be part of the Western PA Series! This event will be a PDGA sanctioned C-tier with 2 rounds of 18 holes at Hasson Park in Oil City, PA! We are excited to have partnered with Camber Disc Golf Company to sponsor this series and this event. Be sure to check out CamberDiscGolf.com for anything disc golf related you may need before the event. Layout for the event will be announced and set a couple weeks before the event. Barring weather issues we intend to paint circles for each basket and mark non-pavement OB lines with paint. Tee Assignments by division: MPO/MP40/MA1 Blues/Blues MA2/MA40 Blues/Whites MA3/MA50/MA60/FA1 Whites/Reds MA4/FA2/FA3 Reds/Reds Am Players Pack: OVDGS/Camber Metal Can/Bottle Koozie, OVDGS towel, and Zanfel poison ivy cream. Am payouts will be in person at the pavilion with Camber by the practice basket immediately after scores are finalized and winners are announced. Remaining 50% goes to the club to improve next event quality. Bid Fee Breakdown: Pass Through Fees* $2.00 PDGA Player Fee $2.00 O.V.D.G.S. $2.00 Series Purse Fee (Amateur's only) The 2nd annual Western PA Series will consist of several events over the course of 2024. Anyone who enters one of the events this season will be entered to win their division's WPAS Trophy at the final event of the season. The series works by allotting points based on the percent of the field you beat in your division at each event plus additional points for podium finishes. The WPAS Finale will count as DOUBLE POINTS. At the end of the season, per division, the individual with the most points in their division will be crowned winner with a WPAS Division Championship Trophy and additional payout collected from the events prior. NOTE: If you play multiple divisions, either playing both days or changing divisions between events, we will track both, but you will only be eligible to win a single division at the end of the season (whichever is the more advanced of the two)
