Rusty Ratings is back!! A prospector roams the land after a harsh winter, but the creeks and rivers are frozen no more, and they may once again pan for gold, or at the very least, throw discs into the golden bands of the disc golf course… The sounds of chains will once again ring Up the Creek and throughout Golden! Shake off that rust and strike gold at the Rusty Nugget in Golden and Up The Creek! The CVDGA, with the help of local clubs, are hosting a point series over the span of 4 weekends in the early spring. The series was created as a way to get some PDGA rated rounds early in the season while easing players into competitive disc golf. The series consists of three low-cost tournaments, and the Rocket Bear, one of Western Canada’s fastest-growing events, is now a B-tier event! New for this year: Rusty Springs is replacing the Rusty Raven, to help establish and promote the course in Radium. Rusty Nugget will be a two-day event at the Golden Disc Golf Course and Up the Creek. $5 of each registration goes towards your division series total, with the winner taking home the pot for all 5 tournaments. REGISTRATION CLOSES AT 10:00 the night before each event Players Meeting starts at 8:40 First-round starts at 9:05 The second round starts at 1:30 Prizes and Payouts: Tournament-specific payouts stay within each pool! Pros: Spilt amongst the top 40% Amateurs: Each player will take a prize from the prize table with an average prize value of over $20 per person. Pass-Through Fees: $2 PDGA $2 TD/Admin $6 Greens Fee $5 Series Fee Total: $15 Players will pick prizes in order of where they finished. All of the 1st place finishers will choose their prize simultaneously, and the second-place finishers won't be far behind. So don’t delay if you find something good! Series point system: Positioning (each tournament): 1: 100 2: 90 3: 80 4: 70 5: 60 6: 50 7: 40 8: 30 9: 20 10+: 10
