Queer Disc Golf and Haute Goat Present: "A Spring Thing" Volume 2. This is the first QDG PDGA sanctioned event of 2025! We will also be hosting a random doubles afternoon included with your registration fee (for folks not wanting to play the sanctioned morning we have an afternoon only option). This is a fundraising event with all profits going to support PFLAG Durham and Queer Disc Golf. The morning round will be a singles round of PDGA sanctioned C-tier competition, an early chance this season to improve your rating and play a formal tournament at Haute Goat. We have decided to use the PDGA Colour Rating system to avoid any exclusionary criteria that might come with traditional gender based categories. Gold Blue and White divisions will play the Blue Goat 24 layout. All other divisions will play the White Goat 24 layout. The afternoon round is a Random Best Disc Doubles event on the Ace Place Course. We will be sending our cards of 6 and every hole will have a CTP! The morning will play similar to a "get in-get out-get rated" with the afternoon carrying the spirit of QDG events you've come to know and love. If you there are comfort reasons as to why you'd like to be partnered with a specific person we can accommodate, but in the spirit of connection, meeting new folks, and making new friends, we would encourage players to participate in random pairings. Everyone who signs up gets a QDG custom stamped Halo premium plastic disc from Innova Disc Golf as part of their player pack. This features the second "Skele-Boi" Disc Design by Judge Havoc. The PDGA now requires tournaments to publicize 'pass through fees' at time of registration, Passthrough through Fees of 22.50 (Include green fees, sanctioning fees, and TD Fees. The player pack is valued at 35.00, $5 Afternoon Ace Pot Included! Remaining 3 dollars will be left as a donation to PFLAG Durham. The Screaming Goat Cafe will be open for lunch for purchase between rounds. Alternatively, you are welcome to bring your own lunch. The Goat Cafe will have a variety of alcoholic and nonalcoholic options that can be enjoyed responsibly.
