The Columbus Open

This year the Columbus Open will be a 2 day, PDGA-sanctioned B-Tier tournament that is 2 rounds. All players will play 1 round at Walnut Hill and 1 round at Simsbury Park. Tee times will be posted the day before the event. Player's pack pick-up, payouts, and awards will take place at Walnut Hill after both rounds are complete. A+B: Pro, MA1, Age Protected Masters, and Women's Divisions: First round at Walnut Hill on Saturday and second round at Simsbury on Sunday. C: MA2, MA3, MA4, & MJ Divisions: First round at Simsbury on Saturday and second round at Walnut Hill on Sunday. Layouts are subject to change but as of right now MPO, FPO, MP40, and MA1 will be playing from the longs at both courses and everyone else will play from the shorts. Payouts and awards will take place at Walnut Hill. Payouts will be provided by the Columbus Flyers Disc Golf Club and payout slip MUST be picked up the day of the event, no exceptions. Payout slips may be retained by the players for use at a later event. At Walnut Hill we will be having a CTP contest each day of the tournament (non tournament players are allowed to participate). We will be giving away a basket and discs each day to the closest 5 throws. The cost will be $2 per throw or $5 for 3 throws. All of the proceeds will go towards getting new baskets at Griggs Reservoir. Huge thanks to Chris at Disc Golf Mart for donating a basket to help the cause!
