WELCOME to Throwing Down the Gauntlet at Lester Lorch, an Armory Disc Golf Gold Tier Event Sponsored by MVP Disc Sports! This functions as a stand alone tournament (payouts as normal, etc) PLUS earns points towards the Throwing Down the Gauntlet season tour, a year-long points series of tournaments held across Texas that culminates in our Invitational Championship in November (see below for more info) Throwing Down the Gauntlet 2024 Winners for each division will receive an AUTOMATIC bid to the End of Season Championship, where they will compete for $1000s in added cash + prizes! There will be a 2x point multiplier for this event for Throwing Down the Gauntlet Season Points Standings Information on Throwing Down the Gauntlet 2024 can be found here: https://armorydiscgolf.com/pages/throwing-down-the-gauntlet-2024 General -This will be a 2 round event, with both rounds being held at Lester Lorch DGC in Cedar Hill, Texas. - A Pool will be MPO, FPO, MP40, FP40, MP50, FP50, FP60, MA1, MA40, MA2 - B Pool will be MP60, FA1, FA40, MA50, FA50, MA60, FA60, FA2, MA3, FA3, MA4, MJ15 POOLS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE Layouts will be as follows: Beaver Hole 1 Hole 2- short Hole 3 Hole 4- long Hole 5 Hole 6 Hole 7- long Hole 8 Hole 9- medium Hole 10 Hole 11 Hole 12 Hole 13 Hole 14- short Hole 15- short Hole 16 Hole 17- long Hole 18- short (tee) Coyote Hole 1- long Hole 2- short Hole 3 Hole 4 Hole 5- long Hole 6- short Hole 7- long (left) Hole 8- short Hole 9 Hole 10- long Hole 11 Hole 12- long Hole 13 Hole 14- long (left) Hole 15- short (straight) Hole 16- long (on hill) Hole 17- long Hole 18- long Tournament Day - Round 1 will start @ 8am with a players meeting at 7:30 am - Players Pack for all Amateur divisions will be provided. CUSTOM WORK from MVP Disc Sports and Armory Disc Golf - Hole assignments will be listed on the Armory Disc Golf Facebook page and at tournament central near the practice basket - A Pool will start on Coyote and play Beaver Round 2 - B Pool will start on Beaver and play Coyote Round 2 - There will be a ~1.5ish hour lunch break after last card is turned in, and round 2 will start promptly after. Check our Facebook page or PDGA event page for the exact start time of the second round - SEVERAL CTP prizes up for grabs for free - Mega CTP and Ring of Fire after the second round for free prizes! - Division caps will be lifted 5 days before the tournament begins and waitlist registrants will be added -Divisions less than 3 one week out from the event will not receive a trophy. - Check back in here for more info as the tournament draws near!
